Our rights to food, health and traditional knowledge are at risk! Agrobusiness and pharmaceutical multinationals  are patenting fruit and vegetable varieties and no innovative medicines, in order to keep them at high prices. It usually happens without citizens knowledge, that progressively loose part of their rights to health, food and knowledge.

That’s why started the information and advocacy campaign "UNLOCK THEM – Food, health and knowledge without patent",  promoted by NGOs, associations and universities aiming at raise awareness on the effects that intellectual property rights – like patents on seeds and medicines – have on our life.

When we talk about rights and common goods, we think that it’s important to free decide how to promote our health, to guard and use our plants and to preserve our resources and traditions.

We want to continue enjoying them and no commercial interest should forbid it.
